SOLIDWORKS 2017 Penny Hockey Tutorials

Welcome to cudacountry's SOLIDWORKS 2017 and Mastercam 2017 Penny Hockey Tutorials. We use SOLIDWORKS 2017 to design Penny Hockey board and Mastercam 2017 to create CNC toolpaths to cut the Base holes and cut out the Base.
The following tutorials with the PDF icon are available for viewing. Download the free reader from Adobe.
Construction - The best material for the Base is formica covered particle board. We used sink cut-outs donated from cabinet shops and old formica counter tops.

Can you shoot penny into goal? Chapters 1 thru 10 are parts and assembly for Linear Motor Motion Study shooting penny into goal. Chapter 11 shoots a single bank shot and then edit sketch in Chapter 12 to create a triple bank!!

7. Base toolpaths. Units are all inches. This tutorial moves Base file from SOLIDWORKS 2017 into Mastercam 2017 and rotates solid into the correct Mastercam XY planes. Use Circle Mill toolpath to cut all holes and Contour toolpath with tabs to cut Base.
Part 8. Frame. Part for Motion Study motor.
Part 9. Slide. Part for Motion Study motor.
Assembly 10. Motion Study Assembly. Insert Frame and Slide into Penny Hockey Assembly and create a sketch to align part with Mates.

12. Motion Study Double Bank. Edit sketch from Chapter 11 to create triple bank shot. Reduce Friction to allow more Penny refection off Side Rails and adjust Linear Motor value. Create Trace Plot using Results and Plots to trace Penny's path. Be the first to make a triple bank shot!
